Luna Estate
Luna Estate encompasses wines from three different brands, Luna Estate, Eclipse and Blue Rock which all have different designs and therefore customers weren’t aware they all came from Luna. We took the existing brand designs and created a cohesive suite of packaging labels that clearly convey Luna.
Luna Estate are proud growers and wine producers, turning all they grow into delicious produce using their own winery. We worked with Luna when they required a new label design for their new premium Pinot Noir called Silver River, which was primarily designed for the Chinese market. They also engaged us to review all current labels and bring the suite of Luna Estate, Blue Rock and Eclipse into a more cohesive family of labels while still retaining their individual design elements.
The Silver River label design shows the milky way shape in a stunning gold foil that has added texture to represent the stars in the milky way. Stars and constellations have been added in a graphic way that is recognisable yet feels modern, hand crafted and refined. Some have been blind embossed and some printed to add a lovely textural feel and premium finish.
The family of labels now feature the Luna logo gold foiled in the same place on the all labels as well as placing the sub brand and varietal in the same place. Then each individual artwork sits across the top of the label consistently.
We were also tasked to design each vintage of the Luna Estate Rose which celebrates a New Zealand artist each year. The Rose labels utilise the same Luna Estate layout. The feature of these Rose labels is the unique print finishes added to enhance the labels in the best way possible. These labels have received many Pride in Print awards.
