Project: Branding, stationery, poster
Martinborough School is a coeducational state primary school for students in years 1 to 8. While situated in town, it also serves the surrounding farming and grape-growing areas. The arrival of a new principal at Martinborough School brought a new lease of life, with a real passion for learning and a big vision for the school, Craig needed a new brand to reflect this.
The logo is made up of the three hills / canoes that are local icons, incorporating the idea of rivers flowing from the hills, ending in stylized koru / wave shapes, also reflecting the importance of culture to the school. The icon is very strong and graphic. We used a vibrant combination of two greens with a blue to represent the mountains and rivers. Incorporating greens of hills and your current school green colour, acknowledged the history of the school, while adding new exciting lime green and teal blue. We selected a beautifully modern, round and symmetrical sans serif to compliment the logo. Placing the two words in two weights to place emphasis on Martinborough.
