Perception Planning are natural resource advisors, facilitators and translators. Specialists in natural resource management, offering high quality planning and policy assistance to help achieve results.
In the typically serious planning world, we wanted to create a brand that stood out from the rest, was approachable, honest and confident. In the words of the client, they saw themselves more like rockstars of the environmental world, and we needed to reflect that through the brand. We used a vibrant red as the core brand colour, with a family of supporting colours to represent the colours of life, as seen in the environment like Kowhai, Wanaka in Autumn and Tararuas.
The icon itself is made up of two reflected P’s, with customised water droplet graphics in both the centre negative space of the P’s as well as the positive shape of the P. We wanted the icon to represent Perception Plannings core focus of water management, but in a modern and different way, avoiding typical colours like blue or green.
We created a pattern to support the core logo, to make the brand colorful, confident and approachable. Giving the viewer a sense of clever creativity.
